ABOUT
Mortar & Pestle and FOOD HAPPENS is the brainchild of, now retired, Chef Oso Wallman's 35 plus years of global food studies and regional experiences here in America.
We will attempt to illustrate the scope and scale of how food works in our country. Through frank and civil discussion we ask you to join us in discussing the threads in your life and community that support current and better ways to attend our growing food needs.
We hope to foster an open dialogue to inform and inspire you, your family and your group to have a more informed and active relationship with our food.

Mortar & Pestle
The mortar and pestle are some of the oldest and still active tools of the kitchen.
From this, we explore how the language, the lexicon, around food affects our choices and identity.
